Cooking in Schools

The UK government is going to reintroduce cooking in schools. This is good news if it is done correctly. Healthy eating, cooking and costing meals are some of the most valuable things you can learn. They are doing it as they want to prevent obesity in children. If you cook you will not only enjoy food more you will also be more willing to try new things. You also learn other skills, cooking is an art and a science. Learning about nutrition and hygiene in the kitchen will help you stay healthy. A healthy diet will not only help you keep that way it was also help to fight illness and help you manage some conditions better. A poor diet can contributed to bad hair, skin, teeth, eyes, a lack of concentration, a lack of sleep and so on. How do you function properly without a healthy balanced diet? Not well if at all really. So unless we all realise this it won’t matter how much money is poured into education because children won’t be able to work to their full potential without a healthy diet. Some may hardly function at all.
